conver watts is a trio that wants to be an orchestra. a shape shifter in a sense. we often find ourselves (mike menard, chris thorsen and darril otto) rehearsing as a trio and performing as a multi-headed monster. this is by choice of course. on any given night we may be joined by a world class cellist and or violinist, drummers of heavy talents and grooves, percussionists, pianists of the organic type, but also those of the blips and beeps, and singers and songwriters that inspire us to go back home after the show and work on our song-craft in order to do it all again the next time. we will be posting new songs here for you often. full blown produced tracks as well as works in progress and demo's. thanks for visiting us at our home base and don't be a stranger.
see you soon,
cw
oh, one more thing--we're on this cd....you should buy one. it's for a really good cause. the proceeds are being donated to mcnally smith school of music for a scholarship. click the icon below to purchase a copy from cd baby, or stop in the 318 music cafe and buy several. make someone's day, give the gift of music
Thank you so much for the invite to the benefit for Mr. Krumm. The line up of local bands was amazing, and Conver Watts sounded incredible last night! It was an honor to be in attendance to such a noble cause.
Sorry I haven't been able to hit any of your shows. Been out of town since New Year's. Will catch you guys next time I'm in Minne, which will probably be in May.
The show on the 19th was the first time I've heard you guys play- it's really good stuff. I think my favorite song was the last one you played...aw chills.
It was an honor and a pleasure to play with all of you. I have pictures on my camera that I'll send to you within the week! Have a wonderful holiday :)
